AEB: COVID-19 fight can trigger lifting of EU sanctions vs Russia

MOSCOW, Jul 3 (PRIME) -- A joint fight against the pandemic of coronavirus can become an impulse for Russia and Europe to discuss lifting of sanctions, Head of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) Tadzio Schilling told PRIME in an interview released on Friday. 

"We understand that the unsolved problems have not vanished even in conditions of coronavirus and we want to believe and hope that maybe in the current situation, all the involved sides will find an additional stimulus to return to their solution and will be able to create conditions when these restrictions are lifted," Schilling said.

He said that AEB opposes sanctions and calls for dialogue.
